No Sound Effect With Mail

Mail sound effects just stop working. One minute they're fine, then ....

Quitting mail and restarting it solves the problem temporarily. Maybe interaction with other uses of speaker ports? I occasionally look at Youtube videos, etc. and maybe there's some correlation there, maybe not.

Anyone else experiencing this?
