Hi everyone,
For some reason my mac doesn't seem to be mounting my PDW-HD1500 to my desktop. I have tried it on some of my other macs with exactly the same software but no results.
I have tried 4 different versions of Sony XDCAM transfer and nothing.
Any ideas?

Is this a deck? Don't think you're supposed to mount it on the desktop. Decks usually connect via firewire or a capture card and are either controlled via firewire or a seperate control interface that requires a rs422 (If I remember correctly) to a usb adapter.
Looking at the specs for this deck, it does have ilink which is sony's name for firewire.
Yes it is a deck. It mounts the disc to the desktop like a drive. So should come up on the desktop as soon as you put the disc in the deck. It connects by a fireweire 400 so that is all hooked up.
Ive even updated the deck itself now and still no results.

Are all your other macs running Lion ? have you had success with this deck before?
Make sure you have the correct FAM driver installed.

Yes alll the other machines are running 10.7.4 and only one machine out of the 5 works with the deck. I installed the latest FAM driver but can you confirm which one you tihnk to be the correct one?

You need to find out what is different about the machine that works with the deck, see if the driver installed on that machine is a different version. I don't know which version is the correct one but it has to be compatible with your OS of course.

Check the firmware of the deck. I had same issue all my sofware on mac was up to date.
I had an other deck with curent firmware that i switched out and it worked like a charm.
