My HP w2007v Monitor worked fine with G4 Tiger but not with G5 Leopard.

Anything I can do to improve the situation or is it buy a new monitor?

No downloads available that I can find for Leopard - all Windows.

I have a display of sorts but nothing like it was on Tiger on the G4 when the 20" display was brilliant.

In the absence of a vga connection on the G5 I am using a VGA to DVI cable.

Perhaps related is the very large appearance of the 'top line' on the screen.

Anything I can do to reduce the font size?
