How am I supposed to get the facebook app?

So I have a 2nd Gen iPod touch, and I had to restore it because it crashed and said to plug it into itunes. When I went to download all the apps I had previously on my ipod, Facebook said I needed iOS 4.3. Is there anyway I can update my ipod any farther to get iOS 4.3? Or am I just screwed?

The 2nd generation iPod Touch can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1, so you cannot install the Facebook App since the App (as you note) requires iOS 4.3

Basically, the only two options for you are if you can find the previous version of the App (possibly in your recycle bin) or buying a newer Touch. Have a look in your recycle bin.

There is a third option - but realistically, it's unlikely to work. That is, to persuade Facebook to revise the App so that it only requires iOS 4.2.1. As I said, possibly not a realistic option, but you never know about customer pressure!
