Q: If I have a Rooter with WiFi network already working, is it possible to connect wirelessly to the time capsule or DOES IT HAVE TO BE BE CONNECTED TO THE ROOTER BY CABLE? Which means it has to be close to the rooter.

Can I connect the time capsule wirelessly if I already have a wireless network via my service provider's ADSL rooter?

Apple does not support this type of configuration unless you have another Apple router providing the wireless network.

If you want to try it anyway, you will need to try to configure the Time Capsule to "extend" your existing wireless network.

I doubt that this will be possible, but you won't know unless you try.
