I have the same problem. The checkbox in the Privacy configuration is ticked off and it still tries to send information to Apple, i open the console and i see every time i visit a webpage, read a mail, quickloop something, sneez or take a dump is in the **** log. I don't remember opting in to this, it's quite unsettling.

I'm going to set my host file so that radarsubmissions.apple.com goes to 127.0.0.1, i'm not happy about being used like this.

The system, not Little Snitch, requested permission to send data to radarsubmissions.apple.com. My "send diagnostics" privacy setting is not checked so this should not even be requested. By the time I checked Little Snitch and returned to the system request, a "terminated" icon had appeared and the only option was "cancel" so the request timed out. At least OSX asked but when I hesitated it decided against sending (or sent it anyway). Used LS to block any outgoing contact with radarsubmissions.apple.com. Big Brother Apple is beginning to make me uncomfortable as they try to gain more and more information about everything that I do like storing my emails, music, movies, letters (dictation), browsing history, etc. That's why my 2008 Mac Pro will be around for a while and iCloud can take a hike. Protected local storage is much safer than any cloud concept.

In some German blog somebody was wondering about the same thing.

Somebody who took a deeper look to where the submission was sent. It appears that a connection to Entrust.com (security-software company I guess) has been established.

In the preference-panel -> security -> privacy there's an "advanced options"-button where you can set automatic updates of secure download servers – my guess is that's the thing trying to trying to connect to the outside-world to update the list of secure servers...

Can anyone proof that?

Webutation.net (which I have never heard of before) states this about radarsubmissions.apple.com...

"Updates the Apple Geolocation Service / IP-Location Database.

There is no setting (except a Firewall like Little Snitch) to prevent this.".

Considered "safe" by all major antivirus publishers. Ok, but I'm certified paranoid and it stays blocked along with "GoogleSoftwareUpdate" which is constantly (every few seconds) connecting to multiple external websites even though I very rarely use Chrome. Software update, my butt. Do you smell "data mining" by Google?
