display inverter

I think I might have a bad display inverter. The screen bezel is cracked on the bottom left had side of my macbook pro A1250 15". The onscreen actions can be seen while using a flashlight to illuminate the screen. Also the Apple logo does not glow (I am new to this macbook so I don't know if it should glow). Any help would be appreciated!
