thunderbolt driver macpro mid 2010 unavailable

The thunderbolt driver in my macpro mid 2010 it's unavailable

I update my OS X several times and nothing change, finally I re install to OS X 10.7.4 and gave me the same problem.

I need connect my Matrox MXO2 Mini with Max to my MacPro and the sistem says there is not drivers installed.

Before that I try in my MacBook Pro and the Matrox connect ok and works fine.

Both software and firmware on my Matrox it's up to date with 3.1.1 driver version.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Sorry to disappoint you, but those are not thunderbolt ports. Wakko Warner is correct in that Mac Pro's don't have thunderbolt ports.

What you have are mini DisplayPort ports. They are designed specifically and only for displays and display adapters such as you have.

Fortunately or unfortunately, Apple made the thunderbolt port use the same physical dimensions as the displayport port, so it's easy to confuse them.

I've got 2008 Unibody MacBook Pro that also has the mini displayport port. How I wish it was a thunderbolt port!
