don't know, but do some googling, There are some other utilities that will mount disk images that the mac os default utility has problems with.
Where are you trying to download the .dmg from?
Why are you not using the Software Update mechanism built into every Mac? It will make sure that everything is downloaded in the correct order from a legitimate, secure source (Apple). You might also require other FCS or System patches first to qualify for the ProApps update.
The auto update does not work, probably due to me using FCP7 on mountain lion.
so I was downloading the pro apps to install manually from the Apple site.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL949
I found the file elsewhere and it worked ok.
Brian.
I ran the update (successfully) after installing FCS3 on an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.3. However, when I check FCP 7, it does not show the version update to 7.0.3. Is there a way to verify that the update was actually applied?
NOTE: I do have FCPX installed, so all the FCS apps are in a Final Cut Studio folder in the Applications folder.
Any comments are appreciated.
TIA
