Publish Aperture iCloud Journal?

Hello!

I used to have tons of beautiful photo galleries created from my Aperture albums on MobileMe. Now they are gone, and I'd love to be able to publish my photo albums on iCloud, where I have tons of space, or even on one of my own domains on my private server.

I saw on https://www.icloud.com/journals/sample/ that apparently it can be done from iPhoto, but I have all my photos in Aperture, also I'd need a more professional navigation as I have hundreds of albums and there would not be enough space for buttons at the top of the screen.

Is there a way to publish to iCloud photo albums? I don't want to publish to photostream as the publishing would not be permanent.

I have lots of personal web space on my server, one option would be to create a photo site that keeps a list of all the albums in the left column and embeds the journals created by Aperture on the right side. But that requires some programming and a pain to have to FTP the albums manually and edit the left column.

It would be much better if I could simply publish to a central location all my photos by exporting albums or journals from Aperture. Maybe this is planned for a future version of Aperture.

Any input would be welcome. Thanks!

Best wishes!

You cannot yet publish from Aperture to iCloud; this is only possible from IOS devices.

To see the options you have with Aperture, have alook at Roger Wilmut's page for the transition from MobileMe:

Basic galleries you can publish directly to Flickr; more elaborate journals you can publish to your disk and then upload using FTP; you can create your own webpages with iWeb, if you have a copy of the program and then publish to your own ftp-site (to use iWeb after the end of MobileME see:

Modify the iWeb Application: http://oldtoadstutorials.net/No.26.html).
