Q: Help with connecting MBP15Retina to HDTV using HDMI? Have tried several different ways of trying, but TV still reads "No Signal" while the TV changes resolution as if it were sharing it's screen.

I have tried to connect the HDMI while both TV and MBP are on, while TV off and MBP on, as well as MBP off and TV on...then powering up the MBP. I have made sure the TV was on the right input every time. I have tried to turn the mirroring feature (in the menu at the top) on and off with no different result. Additionally, I checked the Display settings in System Preferences under the Apple menu. There is nothing wrong with the HDMI cord, for it is brand new. Is there some opperation I could try, or some additional cable I need?
