why does match get stuck on sending information to apple?

Ever since last night on 8/30/12, when I select Match on my PC, I get an error after waiting a few minutes for Match to attempt to send information to Apple. Not sure if anyone has this problem or what the resolution would be. I get this message:

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

Up til yesterday, the Match service loaded fairly quick and was useful to load my music on.

Same problem here except I'm on a new iMac. I haven't been able to connect to match for the last two days. first it rejected my password...which it shoudn't have. Then after it accepted the password the connection was failed. The prompt said an error occurred in the iTunes store, please try again...so I did...and again, it didn't work.

I'm having the same problem over the same time period. iTunes Match had worked great for me until this. The only thing that I can add to this discussion is that I downloaded all of my purchased music from my two different iTunes accounts and then attempted to update iTunes Match. That was when I received the above described message and have received it ever since. Sounds like downloading those tracks may not have caused the problem after all... I am not having any other issues with my network.

With failed iTunes Match you can work locally with playlists. Those are not being synced to other devices.

I don't expect a solution this weekend (Labor Day). Give yourself a rest and stop trying to solve a problem that is caused on Apples servers not on your side. I just gave this advise to myself. It feels just a little bit better now 😉

FIXED IT! Just got of the phone with apple support and the note that covers this is: TS4054.

He had me sign out of iTunes and iMatch and resign back in. In View, view options, check off iCloud Download and iCloud Status and then it began to communicate with the store and all was good again. Hopefully this does thr trick for you as well. :-)
