You can't just scan a document and have it appear or sent to your mail app.
You need to save it elsewhere like to the desktop or in your documents folder.
Then you need to what Paul_31 suggested you try.
That's the way to get what you wanted scanned into an email.
Can you successfully scan, or is that not working? Tell us what you've tried and we'll try to help.
If the scanner won't work with the software that came with it try using Image Capture in the Applications folder, save the image somewhere you can fid it, create an email, click on the paper clip icon (in Mail) to add an attachment, locate the scan and voila - it should get added to the email.
Thanks for your input. I used the image capture feature and sent the doc to "mail", could not find it there, than suddenly a page popped up with the doc ready to be e-mailed, took maybe two to three minutes but as I said, could not find it in mail. I guess I am giving up, thanks anyway.
