Logic Pro 9 crashing at "Check MIDI Drivers."

I have been trying to connect the DigiDesign MBox 2 Mini to my mac (10.7.4 lion). I dont have Pro Tools, I just want to use it in Logic. I have downloaded a driver from the avid website. The Mbox now works, but Logic crashes on the "Checking MIDI Drivers" screen. Eventually it loads, but if I try to record, it reports a MIDI timeout, asks me to restart the computer, which I have done, numerous times. When the mesage appears, the guitar cuts out, the track wont play or record.

I have removed the driver but Logic is still crashing!

I dont know what else to try... Please Help!!!

Sounds like one of the Avid/Digidesign MIDI drivers is still on your system.

Root/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers

Remove all drivers/references to Avid or Digidesign or Pro Tools

Same in this locations as well Users/Yourname/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers

Hi!

Magic didn't work for me 😟
First of all, the "Library" folder in username> was invisible, I had to make it visible first. Then, there were no file whatsoever in there; i removed the file referring to Avid, Protools and DigiDesign in the other "Library" folder, but Logic still crashes when I open it. Can you do another trick for me? Guess a solution?

Thanks in advance and greetings from Italy.
