Q: Why do iPad apps get downloaded on my MacBook?

Why are my iPad apps being downloaded to my MacBook?

They're eating up disk space for no reason as far as I can see?

 

How can I stop that from happening?

Do you have automatic downloads turned 'on' on your Mac's iTunes ? Having them on there, or least having a backup copy of them somewhere, is useful in case you ever need to restore to a backup from your computer, or in case apps are removed from the store (in which case you won't be able re-download them).
