Q: Why is my data being used so quickly

Hi All. I was just wondering if anybody is having any problems with excessive Data usage. My allowance of 500MB is being used in just over a week. I don't use the Internet much so can't understand why. I have been on some other forums and it says it's iCloud sending data continuously. I have switched this off now but I am still 'using' a lot of data.

Then something else on the device is using data.

It could be any number of things.

Turn off Cellular Data but use the device as you normally do.  What is not working now or is asking for data access?  That would be the place to start looking.

Hello, my daughter has 2 GB of data and when we switch to the new month of data something is using it within a day.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Responding to a thread that is 3.5 years old is unlikely to get the desired response.

Check the device and see what is using the data.  Settings > Cellular, then scroll down and look at what apps are using data.  Disable cellular data for any app that you do not want using cellular data.  Also, reset the stats at the very bottom and monitor over a few days to see what rogue app is using data.

    Hello Lee1808,

Have a look in settings under Cellular and check how much data apps are using. Also keep in mind that the system will use data to process some tasks such as Siri, checking the weather, etc. If there are apps in there that you do not use or that you don't want to be able to use data you may turn them off.

    Thanks,

    James.

Such functionality did not exist 4.5 years ago when the OP created this thread.

Frankly, if they haven't figured out a solution in 4.5years, they are unlikely to get one.

Responding to ancient threads serves no real purpose.
