Driver Canon MP530 for OSX 10.8.1
My printer Canon MP 530 has problems when scanning after installing OSX 10.8.1. Is there a new driver from Canon necessary. When yes, where I find it?

I have the same problem with thilli, I have downloaded all the drivers and software. But I still can't print or scan using my Canon MP 530....
Hello JNH76,
Make sure to erase your printer from your list of printer (go to Preferences -> Printer and Scanner and select you printer and press the minus button). Restart. Then install again your drivers from the adress I gave above. Finely add your printer again (if not there yet) : Go to Preferences -> Printer and Scanner, press the plus button then select you printer and leave the default options.

Hi Franck,
Thanks a lot for your answer, it really solves my problem. But I wonder why it always happen when I'm upgrading to a more recent O/
I have done all the steps above and still cannot use the scanning function. I am able to print, but not scan. Can someone help?
I was told by Apple support that there are no drivers for the scanner. Do you know if this is true. The printer function works fine, just cannot scan.
Have you tried using Applications/Image Capture?
When I go to image capture there is nothing there.
My printer is connected to my macbook, but when I open image scanner it says no scanner or printer is connected. Not sure why that is as I am able to printer from my Macbook.
