Installed OS x 10.8 Mountain Lion on my wife's Imac under my Apple account. Now the iMac will not update to 10.8.1. My Macpro has done so okay. Any ideas as to solution.
Open > About this Mac > More Info and type the software
If you are using the same App Store account for both your computers, then it should update. If she is using a different App Store account for buying App's, then you may need to re-purchase it for her computer using her App Store account.
Have you tried downloading the standalone installer: OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.1
That what we did. Download standalone intstaller and install. Probelm solved.
