Archiving a Time Capsule in Mountain Lion

As documented in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3799711?answerId=19067213022#19067213022 , the Archive function has been removed from Airport Utility in Mountain Lion. I tried copying the sparsebundles from my Time Capsule to another drive connected to my Mac. They copied OK, but Time Machine can't see them when using Browse Other Backup Disks...

Can anyone provide a workaround that will archive all backups off my Time Capsule, not just the most recent one?
