ipod 4th gen not recognized in itunes, windows 7. I've tried reinstalling itunes, bon jour, quick time etc. can anyone help? Thank you for any advice.

is it plugged directly into the computer? are your usb drivers up to date? what kind of antivirus do you have>Disable it if you have it
-do you have anything else plugged in like a printer or camera?!
