After upgrading to 10.8.1 on my iMac and MacBook Pro I've been experiencing syncing issues with Contacts.

My groups have dissapered from my MacBook Pro and contacts aren't syncing across both machines. However, changes made on my iPhone and iPad are syncing across those devices and the iCloud webapp.

Contacts indicates the following error:

The operation couldn't be completed.

(CoreDAVErrorDomain error 1.)

I've tried turning off/on iCloud syncing, deleting contacts on the computers and manually resetting the SyncServices folder (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

I have the same problem. Just for check. Look in your contacts preferences and acounts and see if you apple id appears like it has to be or there is a mistake in the domain. My is wrong but a cant correct it.

Believe it or not it's still a problem in Yosemite (10.10.3) but can be fixed by adding an iCloud group (press the + icon next to the error icon near iCloud), then delete the added group. This came from an earlier user's suggestion & it worked for me.
