Pre App Store apps

Have some software (e.g Aperture) which I purchased pre the App Store. Previously Software Update would find updates with no problems but now, under Mountain Lion, Software Update takes you directly to the App Store where of course there is no record of Aperture etc.

How do I now check for updates?
