getting full size images from chat transcripts?

Hi Michael,

I can copy it to the Clipboard. I can't seem to get it from there into any Graphic App. Nor Word.

What ever happened to clipboard viewer, anyway?

Use the Finder > Edit > Show Clipboard menu item.

Hi Michael,

I have not found a way to do this.

Pics can be extracted when the chat is still live by dragging them to the desktop.

I don't know if you have solved this or not but i just wanted to mention this. I have installed the Chax plug-in for ichat, and it enables you to open the picture from your transcripts in preview, then you can save it to the desktop.

IS this after the Chat has been saved in ~/Documents/iChats and then reopened ?

And if it is are the pics full size ?

yes, the plug-in has a lot of iChat options, one of them enabling you to open pictures upon double clicking on them. The photo is saved my iChat but you cannot access it. This option will open the saved picture in preview and you can then save it. And yes you may open the pictures after the chat has been saved. I believe you can drag out the picture from the saved chat as long as you havent restarted, because when you restart the Temporaryitems folder is cleared.

Yes after one restart and not emptying the trash you will find them in Recovered files in the trash.
