What is the 10.0.1.11 wireless client?

In my airport utility, I see several wireless clients connected to my airport extreme base station: my iphone, my mac, and another one with an IP of 10.0.1.11. What is this wireless client exactly?

Is it the default address for my base station?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, it could if the drive connects using wireless only. No, if it connects using USB or FireWire.

You can easily figure out what is what is on the network by powering off all wireless connected devices.

Turn one on...example, your iPhone....and note the IP address. Turn it off.

Turn another device on....your Mac, for example....note the IP address. Turn it off.

Continue until you have checked all your wireless devices and things match up.

If you have more IP addresses than devices, then it is time to change the password on your wireless network.
