I am unable to view RAW files imported directly to Aperture 3.1.2 from my D4.
Is my version of OS-X / Aperture not compatible ?
I have run software update and everything seems to be in order.

Apple added Raw support for eight additional cameras, including Nikon's D4, around March 15. The update requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or Lion 10.7.1 or later. For more on RAW support see:

Looks like your version of OS X needs to be updated to use with your D4 images.

If this indicates your version, you'll definitely need to upgrade. That machine might be too old to run Mountain Lion but the best case would probably be to move to Lion and to Aperture 3.3.2, if possible.
