Mail.app - cut and paste of emails in inbox --> mail.app crashes --> want to get email back

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

when using mail.app in Mountain Lion (10.8.1) I wanted to copy some emails from the inbox to another local folder.

so i tried cutting the email with cmd + x. when i try to insert the content of the clipboard into my local folder the app always crashes.

so right now my emails are "stuck" in the clipboard, i can insert them in e.g. textedit.app, but i don't know how to get them back into a folder in mail.app. also re-inserting into the inbox does not work properly. always the same behavior of the app: crash.

is there a way to get my email back?
