I need Mongolian cyrillic keyboard on my Mac Pro. I look over internet last 2 days. There was few links from TOM Gewerke, but unfortunately all this links are not working now.

Could you please help me find right link for downloading Mongolian CYR keyboard on my Mac?

Thank you in advance.

@TomG

It's not a QWERTY or RUSSIAN layout. It's a true Mongolian keyboard layout (similar to the keyboard layout from Microsoft Windows) It has Cyrillic characters.

I added the pdf in the site and you can access via:

http://mountainedge.netfirms.com/store/media/MongolianKeylayout.pdf

(scroll down to Appendix section in the pdf to see the Normal, Shift, Caps layouts)

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Very useful, thanks!

I've done a blog post on your new layout.

I found the info!! I'm using El Capitan ~~~~

Installation Instruction:

1. Downloaded ZIP file contains 2 file. <--- i found many versions of the mongolian cyrillic alphabet that you can download, one from Tom's post and also here http://mongoliankeyboardformac.blogspot.tw/

2. Copy that 2 file to the /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ folder <---- usually they are .keylayout files
(To open /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ folder, open the Finder and press "Command+Shift+G", type /Library/Keyboard Layouts/ )

3. Now open System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources. Press + sign below.
4. Press "Others" button, and select "Mongolian"

By the way, the Barred O symbol (Ө) on this keyboard is not correct. This keyboard specifies an input of CYRILLIC LETTER FITA (Ѳ) for key code 39, corresponding to Unicode Ѳ (upper case) or ѳ (lower case). The actual Mongolian alphabet specifies CYRILLIC LETTER BARRED O, using different Unicode references.

You can fix this by editing the file and changing the first entry for key code 39 to look like this:

<key code="39" output="ө"/>

and the second entry to look like this:

<key code="39" output="Ө"/>

Word of warning, doing so in a typical text editor may break the file. I used vim from the command line and it worked.
