mba 2012 with external 1920x1200 EIZO

Hello,

I recently gor the macbook air 2012 and a mini disply port to vga converter. I used a vga cable to connect my EIZO S2402W that has a 1920x1200 native resolution.

The problem is that in the Display options the higher resolution that I can get is 1920x1080 so I get this soft effect on display. The same no matter if I mirror the monitors or close the lid.

I heard about the switchresx but I cannot make it work. I even tried to make the EIZO not to stretch the signal and just leave two black bars but I cannot find such an option.
