I have deleted some photos from the Phototream on my iMac leaving only photos taken with my iPhone from May this year. The Photostream on bpth phone and ipad only displays about 50% of these. How do I get them all to sync?

I have searched PhotoStream help and the user guides to no avail.
I have 297 photos on the iMac PhotoStream and only 93 synced to the iPhone and iPad, all dating from the last 30 days, but not all of the photos taken during August have synced.
Is there any way to force sync all of them or copy them manually to the iPad? If not the functionality of the iPad would seem seriously compromised. Can I copy them to the iPad Photostream if I send them as email attchments?

Thanks, I didn't realise you could sync photos using iTunes. This solved my problem.
