How to export highlights in ibooks

Hi. I am using iBooks on iPad 2. I have 100s of books now, having moved on from Kobo, which just became too slow and clunky. But now, having highlighted many lines in 5-6 books (total of over 300 lines or so!) on iBooks, when I try to email these highlights, I do not see any option. Just email "Notes". But most people don't take notes, there is infinitely more highlighting than note-taking. How can I export or email highlights?
