Can't open anything I download!

Just yesterday, after absolutely no problems, I downloaded a file and it said i couldn't open it because I didn't have permission. It said to click the "get info" button and change permissions. My user already had full permission. I dismissed it and deleted the file; it was downloaded from the internet, after all. However, now any time I try to open any file I've previously or recently downloaded to the internet, I can't. I can't even open any screenshots I've took.Please help, this computer is not even one month old, I can't afford to have any problems!!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Jess than a month old, I would take it to the Apple store or a Authorized repair center and let them deal with it. This should not be your problem.

Try repairing your permissions with Dick Utillity and restart. If you are running Mt Lion open System Pref select Security & Privacy, General. Choose to allow applications downloaded from identified developers or anywhere. If its Mac App Store that may be the reason.

Launch the TextEdit application. Type some text into the window, then save it as a file to your Desktop. Can you do that? If so, close the window, then double-click the file you saved to open it. Does it open in TextEdit?

yes it does. the problem i'm having is with pngs or jpegs. files i download on my computer or screenshots. it always says "The file "__" cannot be opened because you do not have permission to read it", even though when I click the "get info" button like it says, it says I have full permission, which i should
