Cannot install Office on Win7. Should I uninstall and reinstall Windows?

Just got a new MacBrook Pro (Lion OS). I lloaded Parallels without a problem and Windows 7 (64 bit) as well.

When I tried installing Office 2010 it won't launch. It simply gives an error message about not supporting 32-bit.

I spent hours on the phone with MS who said it was a problem with my Mac.

When I loaded Windows I loaded it to run like a Mac. Should I try uninstalling it and reinstalling it to run like Windows normally does?

I am so frustrated. Help!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

FYI to others. The problem was resolved by Parallels who solved it in 15 minutes. It had to do with CD sharing. and making sure the default CD/DVD was connected in the configuration settings. They also used cleaner to clean Windows. They were great!
