I downloaded the Omnibar plugin but decided I didn't like it so I deleted it/uninstalled it. But for some reason it is still active in Safari. It doesn't appear in any of Safari's plugin lists.


Safari, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

    /Library/Application\ Support/SIMBL/Plugins/SafariOmnibar.bundle


     

    Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

     

    Type or copy / paste:    /Library/Application Support

     

    Click Go then move the files in bold print above to the Trash.

     

    Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

    Hmm still didn't work. The files for omnibar as far as I can tell are entirely eliminated from my computer. Not even i hidden folders. I think I might have created permanent damage to Safari. Do you know if there's a way to reinstall safari fresh?

    The only way to reinstall Safari on a Mac running v10.8.1 is by reinstalling the OS X using Mountain Lion Recovery

    This worked great for me.

     

    just a small correction if I may:

    Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins ....

     

    The first time I moved it to the trash it didn't work.

     

    Silly me!!  I forgot to EMPTY the trash first. 

    After emptying the trash, restarting Safari, it is now gone.
