I hate the latest facebook upgrade on my new ipad,how can i downgrade to previous app? please help!!!

You can't downgrade an app. Once you update it, there is no way to go back. Older versions of apps are not sold in the app store - only the newest versions are available.
Can you find the older version of the app in your Trash/Recycling Bin? The latest version before 5 would show up as Facebook.4110.0.ipa
If your answer is No and you do not have any other version, you cannot do anything. You are stuck.
If your answer is Yes, follow these instructions.
Restore the Facebook.xxxx.ipa file to your desktop
Open iTunes and open the App drawer (where your apps are)
Delete Facebook from your App drawer (saving the file to the trash is optional)
Drag the restore Facebook.ipa file to your App Drawer.
Manually sync your iDevice. Older version will now be on the device.

Another thing you can try, check out facebook's mobile site. access it via safari but get the mobile site. I have the app but am tired of it perpetually cutting off images, etc, so am using hte mobile site either as a replacement or until they fix it (whichever comes first)
