Download button on app store is not working

Two easy things you can do to try and fix the problem are restarting and restoring the iPhone.

One thing you'll want to make sure of is, that the date and time is correct on your iPhone. If it isn't correct, the iPhone can't make a secure connection. If it's correct, try to manually set it incorrectly (Settings > General > Date & Time), test again, and then set it back to the correct time.

are you using the same appleID on both your iphone and ipad? if so, it may be your apple ID. try signing out and signing back in. To do this click on your app store, the very first page it shows, scroll to the very bottom and you will see your apple ID (if your signed in) click on it- sign out, then sign back in.

If that doesn't work, try a hard reset by pressing top power button and home button at the same time and do not let go of ither until you see an apple symbol. Your phone will restart.

Go back in to app store- try downloading something or updating an app if you can. If it gives you any kind of error, post it here. If it works, there you go.

I have tried all that. I have two different apple ids. I know my restrictions pass for my ipad and i turned installing apps off and the download button wouldnt work. Problem is i dont know my restrictions passcode for my iphone.

Ok in that case, thats not something Apple can really help with as they do not store passwords. If it really bothers you that you cannot download anything and it would bother me) Do a quick sync with icloud and if you really insist on it, restore your phone as NEW- sign in to your icloud and your synced information will come back down. (the process can take some time based on internet speed so please be patient)

this is all you can do if a password has been forgotten. Either that or remember the password.

i am having this problem too. i took it to the apple store which didnt help it is rather annoying have tryed a factory reset but still it does not work.

Is it only not allowing you to download, or can you not update either?

Check Settings > General > Restrictions and see if Installing Apps is Off.

I do not know my restrictions passcode. But i am sure that is the problem as i checked it on my ipad and the same thing happens to the app store. Thanks.

I assume you meant to say "that is not the problem"? Maybe you have the same restrictions on the iPad?

Problem is i dont know my restrictions passcode for my iphone.

Then you'll have to restore you iPhone as new, i.e. without your backup.
