My wife has a Mac; I have a PC. We have home sharing turned on. I can access her library and play files from it, BUT I can't actually copy one of her files into my music files or playlists! How can I do this please?

Do you have the latest versions of iTunes, there should be an import button at the bottom of the iTunes window.
Thanks Winston - I have the latest iTunes 10.6.3.....there is not an import button on the bottom. If I go "File...Import" at the top left, a window opens asking me to specify a desitnation and name the file I want to import and I get stuck there.
So for the avoidance of doubt, the library appears as a shared device
but you don't have an import button in the bottom right corner
I have this same problem -- no import button at bottom of the window. Can't find an answer anywhere on suppoort community forums.
Thank-you for making this clear with screen shots. I am running 12.2 on windows 10 and have no import button at the bottom of the screen. Also no settings button or that other button (eject?).
I closed iTunes and re-opened it - same result.
