10.8 Server Sharing Privileges not working

10.7.4 upgraded to 10.8.1 , now current users can see other users folder contents.

In the Server app click on your server name under HARDWARE, then click the Storage tab , choose your folder, click the gear button underneath the folders and finally click Edit permissions...

For every everyone group you can specify custom settings, like in the picture below:

To remove the ability for everyone (besides the other users you specify) to see folder contents , remove the mark next to List folder Contents (Read Data). In the Custom: Read tree like in the picture.

Apply this to the folder containing the share(s). You can add every user you wish inside Server app's Storage tab and the triangle will appear.

You may stop banging your head now 🙂

The file system permissions can be found at the bottom for your convenience as sharing permissions cannot give more access than file system permissions, so if you need to modify those you can do it in the same spot 🙂

Is the user "Jourstudent" by any chance a member of the staff group or...

Do you see any other way the user "Jourstudent" has any rights whatsoever to that share?

From what I'm reading users that do not have any access to the share aren't able to see the Share Point.
