Recovering lost Safari bookmarks

iCloud auto-synced all my Safari bookmarks on all my devices, including other users on my laptop. I wasn't thinking and removed the Safari bookmarks from the account I use for work and now ALL my bookmarks are gone EVERYWHERE. Can I get them back? And how do I prevent iCloud from syncing my bookwarks to the work account on my laptop?

Lost all my bookmarks one by one on all my periphery equipment (iPhone5, ipads, kids' iPhone, etc...) then, finally, my MacBook Pro.

Lost more of my hair due to hair pulling of self...

So, here's how I got them back:

1. The issue is with syncing Safari with the iCloud

2. Open iTunes on your computer

3. Plug device into computer for sync

4. DESELECT Safari under iCloud on device

5. On iTunes, go to Info tab

6. Scroll down to Other

7. Select Sync Safari Bookmarks ( This option is not available if Safari is ON on your device. This will work wether or not the bookmarks are on your computer or not... Mine magically came back from the ether)

8. Select Apply and begin sync

9. Rejoyce and buy a frosty beverage in the name of an "internet solution".

((your results may vary, but it's worked on 5 of my devices including my MacBook))

Good luck!

=> Check for iCloud backup if you have any so that you can restore the bookmarks saved on iCloud.
=> Check for iTunes backup. Download and install the free software "iPhone Backup Extractor" and launch the app. It will automatically search for any backups on your computer.
=> Check for your lost bookmarks in Windows/Users/Contacts folder. There are times when iTunes saves the contacts in this folder.
Hope one of these methods will help you.

Unfortunately, if you didn't have any backups, that data is probably gone for good. File recovery software probably won't help, though it can't hurt to try. It's possible that Safari created a new Bookmarks.plist file in a temporary folder, wrote the changes to it, then deleted the old one and replaced it with the new one. (I'm not sure whether it would use that technique internally, or would just open the file, write the changes to it and then close it again.) If it does work that way, the old one may still be present and not overwritten. I wouldn't say that's likely, though. Try it with Data Rescue and see what you get.

This should be your cue to start backing up ASAP, before you lose something more important!

Yeah, I have a more wonderful idea for all the guys who are now confused by this problem.

I suggest the iPubsoft iTunes Data Recovery, not like other software, you can use it freely.

When you haven’t backup files. But now, don’t worry! The easy-to-use iPhone recovery software that allows you to directly scan iPhone, or extract iTunes backup files to recover iPhone data like notes, Safari Bookmark, text messages, call history, calendar as well as photos & videos, no matter whether you're an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch user. It requires just three simple steps to recover your data: Scan - Preview - Export. And then your deleted bookmarks come back.

Read more, you can Google iPubsoft iTunes Data Recovery:

If you lost iPhone bookmark, you can use a iPhone bookmark recovery to get them back.

This ios data recovery provides you two ways to recover bookmarks from iPhone, one is retrieve bookmarks from iPhone/iPad directly without backup iTunes, the other is to recover form iTunes backup to get lost bookmarks back. What's more, iOS Data Recovery can also restore other lost data, like photos, videos, contacts, messages, notes and more!

You deleted bookmarks from Safari?

They're most likely gone.

You might try going through Safari's history to see if they're there and you can bookmark 'em again, but AFAIK, file recovery tools only work on recovering files deleted from the file system. Unless you explicitly went in and deleted the Safari Bookmarks.plist file, I am not sure how those would be helpful.

Then again, I could be wrong about this.

I do something useful for recovering lost Safari bookmarks. So I have never encountered this problem personally.

You can recover deleted Safari bookmarks from iPhone at ease. Follow:

===>First of all connect your device to PC over USB.

===>Now Launch iTunes in your PC.

===>Select your Device there by clicking on your device.

===>After connecting click on Backup & Storage option there.

===>Now click on Backup option there.

===>Then click on Restore Backup.

===>This action will restore deleted data back to your device.
