I have been synching my iphone 4 with itunes on an imac with os x 10.7.4. I attached the phone to a windows computer and copied the photos from the phone to the windows computer. The next time I attached the phone to the imac iTunes would not recognize the phone as a device. It is charging thru the usb cable but does not appear anywhere. What to do?

My idea is a bit radical. Try deathorizing your iMac and new windows PC and reautherize them. THat may allow the phone to choose the first computer it is connected with again.
Reinstall iTunes.
Reinstalling is even more over the top! I guess if what I told you doesn't work, do what this guy tels you, but I doubt a reauthorization will do any harm.

In iTunes menue bar: Store > deactivate this Computer and sign out , then Store> activate this computer and sign in
