Q: When I try to update my iphone software I get a message that if I use this computer all my apps will be lost.  It says I should use the computer I sync my apps to for the update.  But I AM using the computer I sync my apps to.  Help

I'm waiting for the new phones to replace my ancient one.  But I'm trying to upgrade the software.  It gives me a message saying I need to  use the computer I sync my apps to - if I use this computer I'll lose all my apps.  but I AM using the computer I use to sync my apps.  HELP!

    Try right clicking your phone's name on the iTunes sidebar and click tranfer purchases (you need to have iTunes set for you to manually mange your media to do this, I think). Also be sure to create a backup just incase what I said earlier works and you being updating without one.
