How to make a news broadcast in imovie with the effects in the movie on apple's imovie page

You need to set the Theme for iMovie. To do this, click on either the Title Browser or the Transition Browser - these are in the centre toolbar on the far right. You will see Browser icons for Music, Photos, Titles, Transitions and Maps, Backgrounds & Animatics.

In either the Title or Transition Browser, click on Set Theme in the upper left corner of the Browser window (just above the standard titles or transitions). Select the Newscast theme. Now all the titles and transitions for that theme will appear in the respective windows. These can be dragged into your project to the desired positions, just like standard ones.

PS. Note that you can also set the Theme when starting a new project. You can choose no theme if preferred.
