iPhone Repair Status

Hi all!!

I requested a repair for my iPhone 4 & Apple received it yesterday.

Step 1 is complete.

Step 2 states SERVICE COMPLETED.

I'm now on Step 3 = Product Replacement Pending.

My question is When apple say SERVICE COMPLETE, does that mean they have repaired the phone or did they just run tests to find the problem?

Also does Product Replacement Pending mean i will be sent a new/refurbished unit or will my old phone be sent back??

Thanks.

P.S. How long will it be before apple decide to ship a phone to me & when apple are shipping back the iPhone will I get a tracking number to track it?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

Thanks fro you response varjak paw! 🙂

However i'm still wondering what does Step 2 "service complete" mean??

Does it mean they have identified the problem or is it that the phone had not problems & they just touched it up??

In other discussions people have got messages like "issue identified" so I'm kinda worried.

Thanks so so much for your help! 🙂

Apple doesn't do anything with your existing iPhone. Either they find no problem and return your unit, or they find a problem and replace it. Since they say "service complete" which implies that they've done their diagnosis, and then "replacement pending", it would seem that they are doing just that, replacing it. Again, if you have questions, call them.

Regards.
