Time machine and ZFS?

Hi,

I'm in the process of implementing a FreeNAS home server and would love to connect it to my MBPro/Mac Mini and such for sharing stuff and possibly serve as a replacement for my aging (and stuffed) Time Capsule for backups w/ Time Machine. I was all ready to go for ZFS file system shares, when all of a sudden I realized that might not be supported by MAC OS X and Time Machine. All Internet literature about it is pretty old.

Does anyone know anything about it?
