Buying an app for a different computer?

How do I go about ordering an App from the Mac App store for another user's computer? i need to "send" Final Cut to a remote workstation but the user is not permitted to purchase software. iOS/iTunes has "Gifting" apps. Can one do somethign similar for Mac Apps?

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

That would be akin to sharing an Apple ID which is never a good idea.

The Mac App Store does not currently support gifting of apps but a work around might be to purchase an iTunes Gift Card which can be redeemed at the Mac App Store.

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/giftcards/itunes/gallery

"All cards work on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store."

Keep in mind, iTunes Gift cards must be redeemed from the same country in which they were purchased.
