Q: How to transfer contacts?

Just bought a new Macbook Pro and can't figure out how to transfer all my contacts. Do I have to enter each one manually or is there a way to transfer all?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.1)

When you first opened/setup your Mac, the best time to do this(transfer data from a PC) was to use Setup Assistant:

If your Mac is up & running now, you'll have to use Migration Assistant, but this will create another User account.

I just did all that and when I openly contacts and calendar nothing transferred

Okay. So all the info is where you said. Under the new account name from the pc. But I don't know the password and I can't figure out how to find out what it is
