Can I still access my mac.com (or me.com) email online?

I have a mac.com/me.com email address that I use as my primary email. I have not updated to iCloud yet, nor do I currently own an Apple mobile device. Normally, I still receive my email messages through my Mail application on my home computer. However, I don't have access to that computer for a few weeks, and I'm trying to get my email through my wife's laptop. Before iCould, I would've just gone to the me.com website to access my mail from another computer, but Apple has removed that service. Is there another way to check my mac.com email from another computer?

You should have received quite a large number of reminder messages about the end of MobileMe, including the option to retain your email addresses even if you were not ready to start using iCloud.

IF you had made the transition to iCloud, you could go to icloud.com to read your mail.

Did you take any action to move your mac.com/me.com address(es) from MobileMe to iCloud? If not, they may have been deleted entirely sometime between the official June 30 termination of MobileMe and the actual termination at the end of July.

If you did change to a me.com address, you should be able to go to iCloud.com with a browser and establish an icloud account (if you don't have one yet) and access the emails that way.

As you evidently did not migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud it has been closed and the contents deleted, including all emails and the contents of your iDisk. These contents are not recoverable by any means.

You can reactivate the @me.com address by going to System Preferences>iCloud (Lion 10.7.2 minimum required) or Settings>iCloud on iOS5 and signing in with the @me.com address; check 'Mail' in the checklist and it will set Mail up to access subsequently received messages to that address. You cannot reactivate the @mac.com version of the address. You will not be able to access the account at http://icloud.com until you have set the account up in this way.
