My podcast's episodes have all disappeared but one! Help?

I have a podcast called IPR : Irrational Public Radio. I have around 20 episodes (it's on itunes as well as many other aggregator sites). Recently, only one of those episodes shows. What happened to the others??

My itunes link has always been http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=152488184&s=143 441

but when I click on that, in itunes a message comes up saying "the item you've requested is no longer available in the US store." Huh?

Now, when I go to the itunes page with my one remaining episode, the link given for that page is http://ax.search.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/search?entity=podca stEpisode&media=all&page=1&restrict=false&startIndex=0&term=irrational+public+ra dio

Nothing has changed between when it was working, and now. The enclosures are all there. The files are all there. My RSS feed is http://www.irrationalpublicradio.com/ipr_pilot.rss.txt if that's helpful info.

Anyone who can help me sort this out will get a free comedy CD from my podcast 🙂

Your podcast appears to have been removed from the Store. There are some issues with your feed which might be the reason.

Your feed has .txt on the end - it shouldn't have. Did it always have? If you have been hand-editing the text have you managed to add this by accident? - this would effectively change the URL and would cause the Store to lose contact with the feed.

Other less serious problems: the second line reads

<rss version="2.0" xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/DTDs/Podcast-1.0.dtd" xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/">

It should read

<rss version="2.0" xmlns:itunes="http://www.itunes.com/dtds/podcast-1.0.dtd" xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/">

(capitalization errors) - this error renders the 'itunes:...' tags unreadable. Also there is a stray javascript at the bottom of the feed which should not be there.

It's possible that because of an inability to read the feed your podcast has been removed from the Store. You could try emailing them at podcasts 'at' apple.com, though I can't promise they will give you any help. Otherwise you will have to resubmit your podcast again as a new one - you will need to change the title slightly or you will be told it has already been submitted.
