Q: Why won't windows 7 recognize my ipod touch after the latest updates?

I have tried everything in the apple support links and nothing is working. My computer used to recognize the ipod as a device and in itunes but now it is not recognized anywhere it only charges. Is there anything that was done in the last set of windows updates that is making this happen? How do I get my ipod to be recognized again?

You tried everything here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
including
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
What does diagnostics show?

Try connecting to another computer w/ iTunes to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
What did the connection section of the diagnostics report say?

I tried that. It connected to a mac but not my pc and the diagnostics report said that there was not an ipod connected.

It only said that there were no Ipods detected. Not suprising since it won't even show up under my devices.
