ibook author trashed my index.xml file NEED HELP!

I have a book I created in iBook author. I finished it and sent it to preview on my iPad. It is on iPad and working. I wanted to add a link in my book so opened iBook author and then my book file and it says error the index.xml file is missing. I tried the .zip file trick but nothing. I can see whole file for my book is there except the table of contents which is probably the index.xml I assume. Can I reconvert my book from the ipad back into ibook author so I can continue to edit it?

Try a search in Finder in your home folder look for an extention of .iba

the file is there...but it will not open without index file.

ya read through that discussion among others and no dice. thats why i need to find a way to go from ipad proof book in my ibook library backinto ibook author.
