YES. Thank you. I've been having trouble with sites not working because I didn't even know it was trying to open a pop up window. Now I have to go all the way to preferences and turn on and off every single time I go on a page?
That's just not smart.
Drop down the 'Safari' menu and choose 'Preferences'. Select 'Security' and untick 'Block pop-up windows'.
whoa, whoa, whoa, part of the problem is that there is no indication that a pop-up is occurring or that it's being blocked like I just learned at Hertz.com. So it just looks like a legitmate pop-up fails since the default is to disable pop-ups (actually it looks like nothing). I don't want to always allow pop-ups for every website. I want to be prompted or notified when it happens - to allow for a good site (going forward) and block or be notified for all the other sites. Global on or off is not a great way to go, imho.
Just click on Safari in the top left?
both ways accomplish the same thing, your choice.
Yes, you can click on the top left on Safari, in that menu, there is block pop-up windows, click on that so that it is not checked.
I have done that, but still no pop ups are allowed
